Welcome to Rough Beats 2012
Rough Beats Festival started as a party in 2003 and has grown by word of mouth from just 100 guests to 1500 in 2011 and 3000 in 2012. The event runs from 1pm Friday 8th June until 11pm Sunday 10th June. More than 50 performances take place on two main stages and other spaces. Camping is opened up on Thursday for an additional £5 payable on the day.
We promise that Rough Beats Festival 2012 will be pound-for-pound the best festival experience in the UK.
Previous years have seen performances by an array of regional, national and international stars including Rise Kagona (Bhundu Boys, Zimbabwe), Chrome Hoof, Late of The Pier, All Eyes West (Chicago), Hot Club de Paris, mercury prize nominees Led Bib, Slow Club, iLikeTrains, Craig Charles, Delooze, Pitch Black (New Zealand), Across the Atlantic (New Zealand), Royal Treatment Plant (Australia) and many many many more.
Rough Beats Festival is organised by Red Room Events. Red Room Events is Tony Frances and Dominic, Kieron, Michael, Brendan and Fionn McSherry, five brothers who hail from just outside the village of Clapham.
As well as the festival, we also organise Rough Rider Sportif - The West Riding Classic, a circular 33, 60 & 75 mile non-competitive road cycle ride over the beautiful hills and valleys of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. A beautiful ride with something for everyone including first time sportive riders, intermediate riders and serious athletes.
We bought London Routemaster RM2675 in 2005 when it ended service on the 73 route in London and converted it to hire out to companies and organisations for their events. Brendan and Kieron designed and built the new interior and with a few friends with specialized skills we all chipped in with the email@example.com
